So! I was very very excited for this week. Being a dancer, I thought it'd be a good chance for me to actually show off the skills I have.
Our teachers were two people from Team LoKo who were very nice and supporting of us all. They taught us the chorus to two different dances. A girl bands dance and a boy bands dance. Popularity at the moment determined the two groups and songs - * drumroll* Crayon Pop - Bar Bar Bar and EXO's Growl. Now, I am not a fan of Crayon Pop at all... sadly. I didn't particularly enjoy this dance but I tried my best to have fun and fun it was with everyone else. Growl was a lot more fun though. Definitely more my style. As someone who has learnt the first verse of the dance before the break, learning the chorus was a fun thing to do since I hadn't actually learnt it already.
Surprisingly enough I noticed while we were doing it ( and team LoKo also said ) that we all - as a group- picked up Growl much easier than Bar Bar Bar, which was quite strange.
So after we'd learnt both of the dances completely we were split into three teams to sort of 'dance off'. We were going to have a competition of what we'd learnt that day. We were then given 10 minutes to practice each song of where we were going to stand and such. To be honest, I wanted to win. The thought of losing as a dancer was quite horrible to me. Sadly we didn't win but our team performed well. The team which won were really good, despite a few of them knowing one or both of the dances beforehand haha! But it does show they must have practised well in their own time so props to them for using their own time :D
I was actually waiting for a video of my group to post up here but it seems out of the 3, the group I was in is the only one without a video Dx If one makes its way to the surface I will post it here.
After trying a little hard for this I seemed to have a bit of an asthma attack but everyone was supportive and really helped me (thank you all!!) And after this we all went on a little adventure to go eat at a nice restaurant with food and stuff. I was so excited for this, I was starving and I really wanted to try more Korean food. Since I hadn't tried any before week 2 of K-Pop Academy It was a wonderful thing to do. Me and my friend who is not in the Academy said we would go to a Korean restaurant but haven't got to do so yet.
The food - was glorious. It tasted really good. We all got different things and mixed and matched with each others. There wasn't a dish I tried that I did not like. I still liked mine the best though! From what I recall it is called Kampoongi. I would definitely get it again but still wish to try new things!
Here is a picture of what my friend ate: Bibimbap:
