K-POP ACADEMY WEEK 2
Week 2! Woo! We had to cook this week and I'll start by being the first to say, I can't cook. I know I know, if you follow instructions it shouldn't be hard, should it? Well.. I will disagree!

Since we had to go someone other than the KCC I got a little panicked in where the place could be only to find that it is a 2 minute walk from the KCC anyway ha. the place we went to was a Chinese cooking school called School of wok. Heh, punny. ー( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

I got there and we were all split up into teams. I was in team *Drumroll* ... EXO! Woo I was even wearing my EXO jacket too! xD The groups were, As far as I can remember, EXO, SHINee, Super Junior, Big Bang and 2NE1. There may or may not have been more.

Now, the man who was instructing us was a Korean chef who worked at a restaurant in London. He was really nice and helpful the entire time taking us through step by step what to do.
Firstly we made a "Kimchi Tofu Baked Ball" I'll be honest, we had no idea what we were doing, yes he had just been through it all and we did know but we were a bit everywhere. We had to try and be creative as possible as it was a competition with other groups! I think we were a bit too ambitious xD Being EXo we tried to make "E X O" but it failed quite badly and I'm not quite sure what it looked like in the end.
Here was our attempt:
E X O
Ahaa It looks kind of like it...right? xD

After this fail we made a second dish called "Kimchi tteokbokki" This one wasn't so much of a fail. I think we cooked it rather well.
So we're cooking...
On these fancy-ass cookers that are all no buttons and just touch surfaces. But hey - Look at DATFOOD! Not gonna lie, looks so good. It tasted great too :P

The finished products of our week looked like this:

And although we didn't get any prizes it was a fun experience and we got to eat food. I have never actually tried Korean food before so this was amazing. Also, as a lover of spicy food, it was right up my street ;D I'll probably try to make myself some of this soon and see if it turns out well!

Next week is Hangul week and I'm extremely excited for it. I know the Korean writing system isn't that complicated but it still interests me, in where it comes from to how many characters there actually are.

Until next week! :)
